About FireTrainingNow

We offer an interactive, online, e-learning application, which enables users, to train at any time, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year on almost any web-enabled computer or laptop.

The fire safety training is in two parts an interactive self paced tutorial taking approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete. The tutorial has been designed over a number of years with the help of the Safety Services Teams of The Universities of Sheffield & Cambridge, and since 2002 we've successfully trained and assessed over 10,000 people. The tutorial is designed around current fire safety standards and equipment and can be tailored to your individual needs and requirements.

Following the tutorial is a short assessment to test the users understanding of the fire safety. All the questions are multiple-choice and use information drawn from the tutorial. The questions are selected at random from a collection so no two assessments are the same, but each user’s assessment is consistent and fair.

The application also contains useful tools for Fire Safety Administrators. Administrators have the ability to:

  • Create and modify the questions to suit their environment or fire safety policies.
  • Create and modify categories (e.g. departments, fire managers, etc) in order to group assessed users together in logical teams.
  • They are also able to get up to the minute statistics on all users assessments, how well they did, which questions they were asked and how they answered them. This enables in depth analysis on any problem areas which need to be addressed.

The assessment records can be downloaded via spreadsheet or text file and kept for your own purposes in order to help you conform to The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. And can be used to identify when users require refresher training, depending on your own in house policy.

If you prefer a tailored weekly report can be generated and emailed to you. We offer either the default training package or if you prefer, we can work along side you to create a more bespoke (personalised) tutorial which can be created with your environment and policies in mind.
